SOAK Seaweed Baths will open its doors to the public for the first time in the summer of 2006. It is currently the only bathhouse of its kind in Northern Ireland.
The building in which SOAK is housed dates back to 1896. It was originally used as a family home which also had servants quarters. In later years it was used as a guest house and then turned into self contained apartments. Unfortunately the building had deteriorated quite substantially before it became home to SOAK.

The building now houses two self contained apartments as well as SOAK Seaweed baths. The current owners have tried to restore or replace the original features of the building where possible. Whilst they have tried to be sympathetic to the era the building has been built in they haven't been afraid to introduce some new and contemporary finishes.
